Overview

ShrimpCity makes use of The Courier Guy (“TCG”) for all shipments of products and livestock. ShrimpCity reserves the right to use an alternative courier should the need arise.

Product Order Services

Product orders are shipped via one of the following methods:

  • Same-day Service (Gauteng)
  • Overnight Service (Gauteng & Rest of South Africa)
  • Road Freight Service (Large Orders & Outlying Areas)

The above service will be selected at ShrimpCity’s discretion based on timing of the order, availability of the courier and dimensions of the products ordered.

Livestock Order Services

Livestock orders are shipped via one of the following methods:

  • Same-day Service (Gauteng)
  • Overnight Service (Gauteng & Rest of South Africa

The above service will be selected at ShrimpCity’s discretion based on timing of the order, availability of the courier and dimensions of the livestock packages.

Shipping Schedule

Orders are dispatched within 1-2 working days after payment has cleared in our account.

Product packages are dispatched from Monday to Friday.

Livestock orders are only dispatched from Monday to Wednesday.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs vary per location and are available to view on check-out. Please note that orders to outlying areas and orders with significant dimensions and/or weight may incur additional shipping fees. You will be notified of these prior to dispatch.

Local Collection

Please note that ShrimpCity has ceased all Local Collections due to the Covid-19 pandemic.Should the nature of your order require direct collection, an appointment will be scheduled.

Alive on Arrival Guarantee

The shipping of livestock comes with an Alive on Arrival Guarantee, based on the following terms and conditions:

  • The guarantee is only valid for orders delivered within 36 hours from time of dispatch. Should delivery exceed this time frame ShrimpCity will not be responsible for any deaths.
  • The guarantee must be claimed within 60 minutes of delivery of the order by the courier.
  • An email must be sent to info@shrimpcity.co.za with a photo of the dead livestock in the shipping bag, and your order number must be used as your reference.
  • Should your claim be valid, you will be provided with store credit to the value of the dead livestock. Please note that no refund is provided on shipping costs.

Approval of all claims is at the discretion of ShrimpCity.
