Stainless Steel Filter Mesh is used to protect your shrimp and baby fish from being sucked into your the filter intake. The mesh is fine enough to allow sufficient water flow, but at at the same time preventing your baby shrimp from disappearing into your canister filter.
When cleaning of the mesh is required, simply brush any accumulated debris off of the Filter Guard with your hand or soft brush.
